    Behold // Ps Josh Greenwood

Prophetic words – new chapter. New rain.

Want to prophesy and declare a word over your life.

One scripture can be enough to change your year, your perspective, your expectation, your reward.

ISAIAH 43:18-19 18 Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. 19 Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

God wants to do a new thingNew home storyExpectation for the new thing. Elizabeth. Wrote the letterWalked on it. Claimed by the blood

Get an expectation for your future. Faith without works is dead… between faith and works is what?Expectation. Expectant people go beyond that faith that God canbut he will for me!

He’s about to do something fresh in your life!

We can’t base our future expectations on past experiences.

BEHOLD, I AM DOING A NEW THING! NOW IT SPRINGS UP, DO YOU NOT PERCEIVE IT

Faith is the substance of things hoped for. Hope can only be forward lookingFaith is the glasses we look through, but it was never meant to be a reflection of what’s behind me, it was meant to bring clarity to what’s ahead of me!

Don’t settle.  Behold or see: Stand in Awe. WOW.

New house Sjhans bought new throw, new rug, new cushions.  I’m like we don’t need it, the old is good enough.  But Sjhans says “how do you not perceive this”.  Because I assume she thinks, others think how I think.  And I think on what I know.

We do this too to God, we perceive he thinks how I think. But his ways are not my ways. And his thoughts not my thoughts.

Barrier to your new could be the old.

Isaiah reminds them… how cool was the way through the sea.  Now this time he tells them he’ll make a way in the wilderness.

Whatever is next is better. But it could be different.

Moses struck the rock last time (Exodus 17) but this time he says speak to the rock (Numbers 20).  Maybe it’s different this time.  And missed out on his promise.

Whatever is behind me shouldn’t be what’s before me.

ISAIAH 43:18-19 18 Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. 19 Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

When the Lord asks, "Do you not perceive it?" He is saying, "Do you want to open yourself to My new thing? Are you willing to embrace it?"

This verb "perceive" in the Hebrew language is far more than insight. It is the total giving of yourself, as in the husband-wife relationship within marriage. This "knowing" is a full embrace

Me in BALI & the grab…

The enemy tries to keep us bound to safe. But the STEPS not the stops of a righteous person…

The Lord is saying, "I'm going to do a new thing. Will you embrace it? Will you receive it into your life?"

Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it hasn't started. ISAIAH 43:18-19 18 Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. 19 Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

This is where the DEEPER places come to play…

The Hebrew word "spring" is the word for "sprout." The problem I had was that the word "now" suggests that if God's going to do a new thing, I should be seeing it "right now." However what this text actually says is: "now it shall sprout." In other words, before we see the blade above the ground, there is the sprout beneath it.

The promises of God are found not on the surface but in the deeper places. Often we’re judging where God is and we is doing by what we see, but we live by Faith and not by sight.

The bread in feeding the 5000 wasn’t enough on the surface. But in the deeper places. It hadn’t sprung, but it was sprouting

The water wasn’t wine. But through the faith of the pouring, they realized what was in the deeper places.

You may be in the sprouting of a healing. It’s been paid in full, now received in faith.

Waiting on the provision. Whether is see it or not, it’s already mine because of Jehovah Jireh.

What the Lord wants us to understand when He says He's going to do a new thing is that it is in deeper places, but you have to perceive it to receive it.

You can't see it yet, but it's set in motion; just a dig of faith. Just a step of expectation.

Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings.

Regardless of what happened in your past, God has a plan and purpose for your life—and it lies in your future. We "arrive into" circumstances: we may not have created or produced them, but nevertheless we're in the middle of them. But don’t stay stuck there!

That’s why Paul said, Philippians 3:13 “but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead…

This takes some vulnerability… which the Holy Spirit loves…

You need to let go of what you know to grab what takes you forward

Scared to buy a new house

    Don’t go into new relationships

Business ventures (people that went bankrupt).

    Call into ministry

If you hold onto history you could lose your destiny

The greatest victories of the past don’t compare to what’s ahead.

I AM MAKING A WAY IN THE WILDERNESS AND RIVERS IN THE DESERT.

God has made a waycarved a road to lead you and positioned rivers of provision to refresh you.

Streams where things were dry - Living water.  Refreshing!

Sometimes the storms bring back the rivers.

There’s a new chapter being written in your life. So, stop thinking about the past and allow your thoughts to come into agreement with God’s thoughts:

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope”

There are far better things ahead than any we leave behind

It’s sprouting, its growing, it’s coming.  Keep watching, it’s coming, it’s coming.

    Breathe on me.

    New wine pour in me.

    River of God, come.

    Holy Spirit come.

What if what we need is not more religion, but renewal?

Renewal: “The refreshment, release and advancement that individuals, groups, churches and cultures experience when they are realigned with God’s presence….

The resumption of our God-given purpose to partner with God fully, participating in His plan to flood the world with His presence.”

    Mark Sayers

    2 CHRONICLES 29 – A KEY RENEWAL MOMENT

2 Chronicles 29:1-2 - Hezekiah was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem twenty-nine years. His mother’s name was Abijah daughter of Zechariah. He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, just as his father David had done. (NIV)

    RENEWAL PATTERN: CRISIS PRECEDES RENEWAL

RENEWAL PATTERN: REOPENING AND REPAIRING THE DOORS

2 Chronicles 29:3 - In the first month of the first year of his reign, he opened the doors of the temple of the Lord and repaired them

Being aligned with God’s presence starts with opening the doors of your life to Him

Revelation 3:20 - 20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. (NIV)

RENEWAL PATTERN: REMOVING WHAT IS DIRTY

2 Chronicles 29:4-5 - He brought in the priests and the Levites, assembled them in the square on the east side and said: “Listen to me, Levites! Consecrate yourselves now and consecrate the temple of the Lord, the God of your ancestors. Remove all defilement from the sanctuary.

    RENEWAL PATTERN: REJECTING DESTRUCTIVE CYCLES

2 Chronicles 29:6 - Our parents were unfaithful; they did evil in the eyes of the Lord our God and forsook him. They turned their faces away from the Lord’s dwelling place and turned their backs on him.

    RENEWAL PATTERN: PRESENCE OVER PROGRESS

2 Chronicles 29:7 - They also shut the doors of the portico and put out the lamps. They did not burn incense or present any burnt offerings at the sanctuary to the God of Israel.

RENEWAL PATTERN: FAITH TO SEIZE KEY MOMENTS

2 Chronicles 29:11 - 11 My sons, do not be negligent now, for the Lord has chosen you to stand before him and serve him, to minister before him and to burn incense.”

    RENEWAL PATTERN: INTENTIONAL GATHERINGS

2 Chronicles 29:15-16 - 15 When they had assembled their fellow Levites and consecrated themselves, they went in to purify the temple of the Lord, as the king had ordered, following the word of the Lord. 16 The priests went into the sanctuary of the Lord to purify it. They brought out to the courtyard of the Lord’s temple everything unclean that they found in the temple of the Lord. The Levites took it and carried it out to the Kidron Valley.

    RENEWAL PATTERN: REVERENT WORSHIP

2 Chronicles 29:28 - 28 The whole assembly bowed in worship, while the musicians played and the trumpets sounded. All this continued until the sacrifice of the burnt offering was completed.

2 Chronicles 29:34-36 - 34 The priests, however, were too few to skin all the burnt offerings; so their relatives the Levites helped them until the task was finished and until other priests had been consecrated, for the Levites had been more conscientious in consecrating themselves than the priests had been.

35 There were burnt offerings in abundance, together with the fat of the fellowship offerings and the drink offerings that accompanied the burnt offerings. So the service of the temple of the Lord was reestablished. 36 Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced at what God had brought about for his people, because it was done so quickly.

Acts 5:32 - 32 We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.” (NIV)

    WORSHIP TEAM

1 Corinthians 6:19 – do you not know your bodies are a temple of the Holy Spirit?(NIV)

Psalm 139: 23-24 - 23 Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. 24 See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. (NIV)

Dear Lord Jesus, I am sorry that I have excluded You from my life. I ask for your forgiveness. I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite you to come into my heart and life. Today Jesus, I have decided to follow you as my Lord and Saviour. Amen.

Then he continued, “Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them.

    Daniel 10:12

In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia, a revelation was given to Daniel (who was called Belteshazzar). Its message was true and it concerned a great war.[a] The understanding of the message came to him in a vision.
    Daniel 10:1

I prayed to the Lord my God and confessed:

“Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments, we have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws. We have not listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes and our ancestors, and to all the people of the land.
    Daniel 19:4-7

So I was left alone, gazing at this great vision; I had no strength left, my face turned deathly pale and I was helpless.
    Daniel 10:8

A hand touched me and set me trembling on my hands and knees. 11 He said, “Daniel, you who are highly esteemed, consider carefully the words I am about to speak to you, and stand up, for I have now been sent to you.” And when he said this to me, I stood up trembling.
    Daniel 10:10-11

And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”
    Matthew 3:17

Then he continued, “Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. 13 But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia.
    Daniel 10:12-13

Again the one who looked like a man touched me and gave me strength. 19 “Do not be afraid, you who are highly esteemed,” he said. “Peace! Be strong now; be strong.”
    Daniel 10:18-19

The Best Seat in the House // Ps Aaron Wallace

“Ever since I first heard of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for God’s people everywhere, I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.

    ‭‭‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭15‬-‭23‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else. But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus.”
