Young Rising

Young Rising is our youth ministry, running from 6:30-9:00pm on Friday nights during the school term. It is open to all students from grades 5-12 and we ask that you register students before attending for the first time.

On Praise Nights, we all gather together for a big night of praise and worship. Other weeks, we split into two groups. Our younger students go with our ‘Emerge’ leaders into the Hub for life groups, while the ‘Ascend’ leaders stay with our older students in the main church auditorium.

Once a term we hold a big games or outreach night, the next of which will be our first ever LOCK IN event which takes place on Friday 28th - Saturday 29th August. Registrations are open here and our packing list is available below.

We also run a Summer Camp each January near Wollongong. Registrations open up in September, and the dates for 2027 are January 12-15.

We are working towards creating a sensory space for students who need a quieter space while still being able to connect with others. During our louder events, we will always have a Sunflower Space set up in the foyer or parents room with a variety of activities and with dedicated supervision and support. We also provide earplugs, fidget toys, and additional flexibility for students who may need help focusing or find the auditorium loud or overstimulating.
